Pool Painting & Pool Surface Repairs in Melbourne
Repairs, preparation, coating and surrounds: one team for the whole pool.
Pool resurfacing in a lighter blueCoatings, cosmetic repairs and surrounds for existing concrete and fibreglass pools. We do not build pools or install pebble or render interiors.
Pool painting and pool surface repairs cover everything between draining a tired concrete or fibreglass pool and refilling it with a new finish, for homeowners, landlords and property managers in Melbourne and across Victoria. One Peak Surfaces team patches the shell, prepares it, coats it and refreshes the edge around it.
The four services run in the order a recoat actually happens. Cosmetic Pool Shell Repairs patches surface cracks, render hollows and minor fibreglass osmosis blisters and levels the shell. Acid Washing & Surface Prep strips grease and calcium scale and etches or scarifies the surface so paint can grip. Pool Resurfacing & Painting applies the chlorinated rubber, two-pack epoxy or polyurethane system. Pool Coping & Surround Refresh washes, re-grouts, crack-seals and slip-seals the stones and paving above the waterline.
One crew doing all four matters because each stage depends on the last. The person who filled a hollow knows it has cured before the acid goes on; the person who etched the shell knows it is dry before the first coat. You get one quote, one drain-down and one program, with one team answerable for the result.
Our pool work is coatings and cosmetic repairs on the shell you already have: a painted finish over concrete, render or gelcoat, rather than a pebble, quartz or render re-interior, and never new pool construction. If your pool needs more than a coating, we say so at the quote.

Pools: questions people ask.
Which pool service do I need?
Go by what you can see. Flaking, chalky or faded paint calls for a recoat; cracks, hollows or blisters in the shell need cosmetic repairs first; a stained or slippery pool edge is a coping and surround job; and scale or old paint on a shell about to be repainted is preparation, which is part of nearly every recoat. Send photos with your quote request and we will tell you which apply.
Can you repair, prep, paint and do the surround in one job?
Yes, and that is how we prefer to work. The pool is drained once, the shell repaired and prepared while it dries, the coating applied, and the coping and surround washed and sealed while the paint cures. One quote covers it and the same people sequence every stage.
How does a pool painting quote work?
We inspect the pool in person, then send a free, no-obligation quote itemised by stage. The visit checks the shell type and condition, what it was last coated with, scale and staining, the coping and surround, and where the drained water can go. Repairs, prep, coating and surround appear as separate lines, so you can leave out what you do not need.
Do you paint fibreglass pools as well as concrete pools?
Yes, both, with the preparation and coating chosen for the shell. Concrete and render are acid washed and etched; fibreglass gelcoat is abraded instead, and osmosis blisters are ground out and filled before coating. Polyurethane is often the pick for fibreglass because it tolerates the slight movement of the shell.
When is the best time of year to paint a pool in Melbourne?
Warm, dry, settled weather, which in Melbourne usually means late spring to early autumn. Every pool coating needs a dry shell and a full cure before refilling, and cold nights, dew and rain stretch both, so a winter recoat typically takes longer. Getting the quote done in winter leaves the most room before summer.
