How we handle your personal information.

Peak Surfaces (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, who we share it with and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

Peak Surfaces provides painting, pool painting and pool surface repairs, epoxy flooring, kitchen and bathroom cosmetic makeovers, and roofing and gutter maintenance across Melbourne and Victoria. ABN 26 234 494 245. You can reach us at info@peaksurfaces.com.au.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb or postcode, the service you are interested in, your preferred contact method, your message and any photos you attach. If you call, text or email us we keep the details needed to respond.

Our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site secure, to limit automated abuse of the quote form and to understand how the site is used.

Why we collect it

We use your personal information to answer your enquiry, assess and quote your job, arrange visits and carry out the work you ask for. We do not use it for marketing you have not asked for, and we never sell or rent it.

Photos you upload

Photos attached to a quote request are sent to our email inbox and used only to understand the surface and prepare your quote. We do not publish customer photos on this website or elsewhere without your written permission.

Who we share it with

Quote requests are delivered by email through our hosting provider's mail service. Website analytics are collected by Google Analytics (see below). These providers handle data on our behalf and under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. Google's Consent Mode is configured so that visitors in regions that require opt-in consent are not tracked unless they agree. Analytics does not identify you personally to us. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's browser add-on.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you, carry out the work and keep reasonable business records. If you would like your details deleted, email us and we will remove them unless we are required to keep them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, uploads are checked before they are accepted, and access to our inbox is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@peaksurfaces.com.au. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
