Epoxy Flooring & Seamless Coatings in Melbourne

One team from bare slab to finished floor, indoors and out.

Epoxy flooring and seamless coatings give homeowners, landlords and small businesses across Melbourne one hard-wearing, easy-clean surface for every concrete floor they own: the garage or workshop, the shop or showroom, and the patio and paths outside. Peak Surfaces does all of it from Coolaroo in Melbourne's north, across Melbourne and Victoria.

The four services are stages of one job. Concrete Grinding & Surface Preparation comes first on every floor: grinding, crack filling, moisture testing and primer. Garage & Workshop Epoxy Floors lay heavy-duty two-pack epoxy where cars, tools and spills live. Commercial & Retail Epoxy Floors put decorative epoxy under a polyurethane topcoat where the floor is on show. Patio & Outdoor Walkway Coatings use UV-stable polyurethane or polyaspartic with slip-resistant grit, because epoxy fades in sunlight.

One team doing all four means preparation and coating are never two trades pointing at each other. The crew that grinds your slab picks the primer and system for that concrete, and a garage, workshop and back patio can be quoted and booked together, sequenced so you are never locked out of the whole property at once.

All of it is coating work on the concrete you already have: the slab is ground and repaired, not replaced. Walls and fixtures are masked, dust is captured at the grinder, and the floor is swept and cleared before handover. Every job starts with a free, no-obligation quote.

FAQ

Epoxy Floors: questions people ask.

Which epoxy flooring service do I need?

Choose by where the floor is: garages, sheds and workshops take the heavy-duty garage floor; shops, cafes and showrooms take the decorative commercial floor; patios, paths and steps take the outdoor coating, since epoxy is not UV-stable. Grinding and preparation is built into all three.

Can you coat the garage and the patio in the same visit?

Yes, both can go on one quote and one schedule, though they use different resins and cure at different rates. Grinding both on the same visit saves a second set-up, and the coats are sequenced so one area is usable while the other cures.

How does quoting work for epoxy flooring?

We inspect the slab first, then send a free, no-obligation quote that shows preparation separately from the coating. The price moves with the area in square metres, what has to be ground off, the repairs needed, the finish you choose, and whether work is staged around trading or parking.

What is the difference between epoxy and a seamless coating?

Epoxy is one kind of seamless coating; polyurethane and polyaspartic are the others we use. All are two-pack resins that cure into one continuous film with no joins or grout lines, so they mop clean. Epoxy gives the hard build garages and shops need; polyurethane and polyaspartic keep their colour in sunlight, so they go outdoors and on top.
