Residential and commercial painting at Peak Surfaces covers the inside and outside of houses, rental properties, shops and offices, plus the plaster repairs and specialty finishes a lasting job needs. We work across Melbourne and Victoria from Coolaroo in the northern suburbs. Homeowners come to us for a tired house, landlords and agents for a neutral refresh before a lease or sale, and small businesses for a shopfront or office that looks cared for.

The four services follow the order of a good paint job. Surface Prep & Plaster Restoration comes first: cracks and cornice repaired, water stains sealed and old enamel sanded back so new paint has a sound surface. Interior Painting then covers walls, ceilings, doors, trim and staircases, while Exterior Painting takes on weatherboards, render, masonry, fascias, eaves, window frames and fences. Specialty Finishes are the last layer: stained timber, lime wash, textured walls and anti-mould paint in wet rooms.

One team doing all four means one brief, one itemised quote and one crew from the first drop sheet to the final inspection, with the repairs and the repaint planned as a single job. Our scope is the paint system and the surfaces that carry it; if a crack or damp patch points to movement or a leak, we say so before any filler goes in.

FAQ

Painting: questions people ask.

Which painting service do I need?

Choose Interior Painting or Exterior Painting for a repaint, add Surface Prep & Plaster Restoration for cracks, water stains or damaged cornice, and Specialty Finishes for stained timber, lime wash, texture or anti-mould paint. Describe the property and what you want fixed, and we quote the right mix.

Can you paint inside and outside in the same job?

Yes, one team quotes and paints both. Exterior coats need dry surfaces and mild temperatures, so on wet or cold days the crew works inside and returns to the weatherboards or render when conditions allow. One quote, one start date, one crew.

How does quoting work for a painting job?

We inspect the property, measure the surfaces and send a free, no-obligation quote listing each area with its preparation, coats and finish. Condition, access, colour change and the amount of trim all change the work, so there are no fixed prices. A quote that leaves out the preparation is not pricing the same job.

Do you paint commercial properties as well as homes?

Yes, we paint shopfronts, offices, cafes and other small commercial premises, inside and out. The work is planned in stages so the business can keep operating around it, with washable finishes for high-traffic areas and colours matched to your branding.

What happens if you find more damage once painting starts?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Soft plasterboard and bleeding stains come under Surface Prep & Plaster Restoration; rot, leaks or movement need another trade, and we work around them rather than paint over them.
